Headcorn Aerodrome Launches New Airshow
29 Sept 2025

Headcorn International Airshow 2026 | Official Launch
On 27–28 June 2026, Headcorn Aerodrome in Kent will host the first-ever Headcorn International Airshow. Building on more than a decade of successful heritage events, the airfield is relaunching its flagship show with a wider scope, promising historic warbirds, civilian aerobatics, and a festival-style ground display.
From Battle of Britain to International Festival
For many years, visitors knew Headcorn as the home of the Battle of Britain Airshow, where Spitfires, Hurricanes, and other WWII legends brought history to life over the Weald of Kent. That tradition remains at the heart of the new Headcorn International Airshow, but the focus is broadening. The 2026 edition will showcase not only warbirds but also modern aerobatic teams, classic jets, and diverse display aircraft, making it one of the most varied flying programmes Headcorn has ever presented.
A Historic Setting
Headcorn Aerodrome, once RAF Lashenden during the Second World War, carries a unique aviation heritage. From Spitfire operations with Canadian squadrons to its later role as a base for USAAF fighters, the airfield has been linked to pivotal chapters of Allied air power. Today, that legacy lives on through the Lashenden Air Warfare Museum, while the grass strip itself offers one of the most intimate crowd experiences on the UK airshow circuit.
